The Village Program

The Farm

Outdoor activities at the colonial-era farm of Benjamin Bannker provide the opportunity for teamwork, exercise, project planning and the self-esteem that comes from tangible accomplishments. Work on projects is interwoven with informal meetings with the clinical team to maintain good progress on therapeutic goals.

Skills Groups

Groups provide practice for the development of essential life skills for young adulthood, including social skills, job and career development, executive functions, emotional regulation and self-expression, returning to school, self care and creating healthy coping patterns by modifying screen and marijuana overuse.

Plus Services

Staff time connecting with the young adult and the family goes well beyond the scheduled appointments, and includes frequent connections throughout the week both face-to-face and electronically.  This approach allows rapid response times for setbacks, crises and overall mentoring – so the young adult can take advantage of learning opportunities as soon as they arise.

Key Individual Services

Family meetings both with multiple and single families, and medication management are services included in The Village programming. Family involvement is a critical element in creating progress for the young adult.
